NBA MVP Debate

Now that the NBA season is coming to a roaring close, let the MVP debate begin. All season long, it's more or less been a foregone conclusion that either Kobe or Lebron would get it. But steadily, Dwayne Wade has made a strong case. Here are the numbers and facts. I'll let you decide.
LeBron
PPG 28.2
RPG 7.50
APG 7.1
EFF + 30.13
Teams W-L 50-13
Kobe
PPG 28.1
RPG 5.40
APG 4.9
EFF + 25.23
W-L 50-13
D-Wade
PPG 29.7
RPG 5.10
APG 7.7
EFF + 29.45
Team W-L 35-29
Personally, my vote goes to Dwayne Wade considering the fact that the other two candidates have All-Stars and former All-Stars playing alongside them (Mo Williams/Ben Wallace and Pau Gasol/Lamar Odom, respectively). Wade is playing with scrubs more or less. Yes he had Shawn Marion (a shell of his former self) and now he has Jermaine O'neal (also a shell), but Wade is carrying and willing his team to victories. With him, his team is currently a #5 seed in the East. Without him, they're picking in the top 5 next year. Without Kobe, the Lakers were still an OK team. Without LeBron, the East is weak enough for that team to at least get the 8th seed in the West. So my vote goes to D-Wade. What do you experts think?

  1. LeBron will be the MVP.

If you were in a pickup game, and you had the first pick and could choose anyone in the world, who would you pick?

LeBron. Come on, it's pretty simle.

  2. That's kind of hard to say gillproger. I love LeBron, but I can't discount the absolute dog that Dwayne Wade has turned into, and it would be asinine to ignore the force of nature that is one Kobe Bean Bryant. I'm not a Kobe fan. In fact, I'm a Kobe hater, but I respect his game immensely.
